“Born For This” is a collection of poetry, written over the course of three years, by author and beauty queen Alissa van der Lei. Alissa van der Lei was born on June 12th 2001 in Rottevalle, a small town in the North of the Netherlands. For as long as she can remember she wanted to be a writer, and when she was only eleven years old she published her first book, followed by the second one when she was thirteen. What she loves most about writing is how it can be an escape from reality, and how it helps her cope with difficulties in life.
